DESCRIPTION AND USE

Oxygen Scavenger 1537 is a highly concentrated neutral pH sulfite solution designed to react with oxygen present in the boiler feedwater. By acting as an oxygen scavenger, the products are used to control corrosion and pitting caused by the presence of this dissolved gas. Please ask about our USDA product version.

CHEMICAL FEEDING AND CONTROL

Oxygen Scavenger 1537 may be fed neat directly from the shipping container or can mixed in a chemical feed tank with most common chemicals used for treatment. Steel, stainless steel or plastic may be used in the feed system. Copper, copper alloys and aluminum must be avoided as direct chemical feed components. Oxygen Scavenger 15 is normally controlled by a sulfite test on the boiler water. Control ranges can vary widely depending upon both makeup water characteristics and system operating conditions and will be specified by the technical representative servicing the facility.
