If you are in a big city with good city water like Atlanta, Charlotte, New York, Seattle, etc the product you most likely need for you cooling water system is a moderate cooling water chemical (CTC 1134nm). This product is designed for most systems with make up water around 8 pH and 20 to 30 ppm of hardness. Some cities like Memphis or in West Texas your make up water may be very hard. So you will need a product that is designed to control scaling like CTC 1254nm or CTC1264nm.

How do you feed a Cooling Water Chemical?
The best spot to inject your cooling water chemicals is into the main water header with a coporation stop valve. Normal materials of construction are satisfactory for the feed system. However, copper, copper alloys and aluminum must be avoided. If you can not inject the product into the main header, you can inject it into a side stream or direct into the basin bulk water.

To complete your water treatment program, you must feed a biocide with this chemical and always use a cooling water controller to control the chemistry!
