FORMULA 4690 is a blend of stabilized bromine and chlorine donors for the treatment of open, recirculating cooling tower, cooling sytems, and evaporative condenser systems. The product is supplied as a tablet weighing approximately 20 grams (0.7 ozs). When dissolved in water, the product forms stabilized hypobromous and hypochlorous (HOBr and HOCl) acids. However, unlike chlorine, the bromine maintains full activity over a wide range of conditions encountered in cooling water systems.
