DESCRIPTION AND USE

Closed Loop Chemical 338D is a highly concentrated liquid buffered nitrite/ borate/silicate inhibitor for the treatment of hot and cooled closed water systems. The product is used in both hot water and cooled water temperature systems as well as low pressure boiler systems with limited makeup water. It may be used with either hard or soft water makeup and is compatible with glycol antifreezes. It is not approved for use in USDA regulated facilities.

Closed Loop Chemical 338D contains a "P" Indicator dye for ease of detection. When the water turns pink, you have enough chemical protection.

CHEMICAL FEEDING AND CONTROL

Closed Loop Chemical 338D is normally shot fed to the system to establish the desired treatment concentration. For most systems, either a shot or bypass feeder is usually used. Treatment control may either employ the nitrite or sodium nitrite test, whichever is more convenient for the plant. Treatment control ranges vary depending upon the system being treated and will be specified by the technical specialist servicing the facility.

One gallon of Closed Loop Chemical 338D treats 100 gallons of water.
