DESCRIPTION AND USE

Boiler Chemical 1537 is a highly concentrated neutral pH sulfite solution designed to react with oxygen present in the boiler feedwater. By acting as an oxygen scavenger, the products are used to control corrosion and pitting caused by the presence of this dissolved gas in your boiler water and steam boiler.. Boiler Chemical 1537-F can be used in FDA regulated facilities but is not USDA approved.

CHEMICAL FEEDING AND CONTROL

Boiler Chemical 1537 may be fed neat directly from the shipping container or can mixed in a chemical feed tank with most common chemicals used for treatment. Steel, stainless steel or plastic may be used in the feed system. Copper, copper alloys and aluminum must be avoided as direct feed components.

Boiler Chemical 1537 is normally controlled by a sulfite test on the boiler water or steam boiler. Control ranges can vary widely depending upon both makeup water characteristics and boiler water or steam boiler system operating conditions.
