What are Neptune Filter Bags used for?
Neptune filter bags are used in all VTF and DBF models up to 10 gallons. A clean bag is rated at approximately 30 microns. These bags can not be used in Neptune "DBFC" models.
How do you clean Neptune filter bags?
First valve off then unit and make sure the pressure has been released. Remove the top of the feeder. Remove the bag kit and bag. Flush the bag with with hot water. High pressure water will help remove smaller particles.
How often should I replace my Neptune filter bags?
These bags can be used over many times. You need to replace them if they are torn or if you have no means of removing the fine particles.
How do I know when I should clean the bag filter?
You should install pressure gauges on both sides of the by pass feeder and monitor the differential pressures.
What size are these filter?
Roughly 30 micron when clean.
