Isothiazolin is commonly used to control bacteria in water systems. Isothiazolin is slug feed in cooling towers, chillers, and glycol systems to control slime and other bacteria forms. Feed Isothiazolin at a minimum of150 ppm as quickly as possible to kill bacteria.

Isothiazolin is an excellent slimicide for use in recirculating cooling water systems. The product is effective over a wide pH range against a wide range of slime forming bacteria typically found in these systems.
