Hot water corrosion inhibitors are used to protect hot water and boiler water systems from corrosion.  These line of products are buffered nitrite/borate/silicate alkaline inhibitors.  Sodium nitrite is a good metal passivator to minimize system corrosion and the alkaline assists in increasing the systems pH. 

Failure to use a corrosion inhibitor may lead to excessive corrosion and premature failures to your hot water and boiler water system.

Hot Water and Cooled Water Corrosion Inhibitor
Closed Loop Corrosion Inhibitor - Clear - 5 to 55 Gallons

Closed Loop Chemical 338 is a highly concentrated liquid buffered nitrite/ borate/silicate inhibitor for the treatment of hot and cooled closed water systems. The product is used in both low and high temperature systems as well as low pressure boiler systems with limited makeup water. It may be used with either hard or soft water makeup and is compatible with glycol antifreezes. It is not approved for use in USDA regulated facilities.

One gallon of Closed Loop Chemical 338 treats 100 gallons of water.
