What Boiler Water Treatment Chemical should I use?
This product is intended for boiler systems that are small (less then 100 psi) and require condensate treatment. ChemWorld 1197 is a "All-In-One" Steam Boiler Water Treatment container of a concentrated sulfite based formulation with carboxylated organic copolymer and a neutralizing amine designed for use as a boiler water and steam boiler. The product is formulated for use in Vapor Modulatic boilers and other boiler systems which have sodium zeolite softened makeup water. How much chemical do I need to feed?

Approximate use is 1/4 to 1/2 gallon per week for each 25 boiler hp. If you do not have a good deaerator, you may choose to also use a supplemental sulfite feed to reduce the amount of chemical used.

How do I feed this chemical?
ChemWorld 1197 Steam Boiler Water Treatment is normally fed continuously or when the feedwater pumps activates with an injection into to the feedwater heater or deaerator. However, shot feeding may be satisfactory in some circumstances. The product may be fed neat but is most often mixed in a chemical feed tank with the other materials required to complete the program. Normal materials of construction are satisfactory for the feed system. However, copper, copper alloys and aluminum materials must be avoided on feed components.

ChemWorld 1197 Steam Boiler Water Treatment is controlled by a sulfite test in the boiler water or steam boiler water.
